Making my way back

Wow, I cannot believe that I let this blog go for over 2 years. My apologies to all who had been following. I hope you will stick with me, or come back as the case may be, as I start back up.

A lot has changed in the past two years!  Since my last post, not only did I make it through the Nike Women's Half Marathon, but I also completed the St. Augustine Half Marathon and the Puerto Rico Half-Marathon. But the best thing by far that has taken place since my last post is I am now a Grandma (Glam-ma), to a very handsome, now 2 year-old, grandson!

In the past 2+ years, a lot has taken place, some great, some not so great, but all part of life's ups and downs. And all part of what makes me the woman I am today! I did get sidetracked, and some of the goals I had achieved and was trying to maintain fell through the cracks. Thankfully, I didn't fall too far, and I have been able to slowly climb back up to where I was. I am still a work in progress, but uphill progress is being made.

It is humbling to have slid back after making such strides, but falling down is all part of getting back up again. I decided to get back to my blog because through it I can keep focused and accountable. Even if no one but me is reading, I have a place to keep track of the good, the bad, and the sometimes ugly of maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

To those of you among my readers, I can only hope that I can inspire someone else who may be going through life's rough patches to start climbing back up as well.
